Here’s the latest in simple aquaponic units. See link for more pics and details. This unit currently is stocked with a couple dozen goldfish and that is enough to feed the single grow bed. If more fish are added, more grow beds can be added to utilize the nitrates. At maximum safe stocking density the 125 gallon lower unit could feed as many as five more grow beds.

We have developed about five unique groups of aerogarden herbs. I completely adore the invention. For some cause in this batch of connoisseur herb package the roots in a number of from the pods are just so over evolved crazy. We have by no means had a root becoming so grown that it truly seems to block water circulation. What can i do to preserve the plant and keep it healty?
So, the top part can be either filled with gravel or as a float tank for the plants, no?
Thanks,
John
The top part is designed to operate as a flood/drain bed. If you really wanted to have rafts up there it would be possible with different plumbing and a deeper tote section. This would increase energy use due to aeration needs in the raft section.
